Clubs

We need help hosting clubs!

We are looking for volunteers who would like to lead a club!

Clubs provide the opportunity for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build friendships.

In the past we have had board game, pickleball, chess, and robotics clubs. If anyone has an idea for a new club, we are happy to try it out!

Requirements:

Will need to find a teacher sponsor who's classroom they will use and works with the club minimally
The club volunteer will need to get an unsupervised volunteer badge from APS before they can start working with children unsupervised

Battle of the Books & Book Club Sign up is live!

BoB and Book Club will begin on

Friday September 4th!

Battle of the Books is a statewide program for 4th-8th graders whose goal is to read at least 10 books from the list of 20 books used in the NM Battle.

(Participation in the Battle in April is optional.)

We make up our own questions, play Family Feud, Bingo, Jeopardy, and do practice battles for fun.

This year Book Club is for 3rd Graders who want to read and join the fun on BoB games. Though they won’t be able to go to Battle this year we’d love to have them join us and read as many of the books as they would like.

They will help design the spring Trivial Pursuit game for the elementary group.

Both are free clubs! Ms. Trish Ann purchased the books for the book room, so you can just check them out!

We meet Fridays, right after school in the courtyard for lunch and then go to Room 1 or 2 until dismissal at 2:00.
